Kahnawake Grants License to Full Tilt Poker

The very latest poker news sees Full Tilt Poker facing quite a bad spell when it’s license was suspended by Alderney following the April 15 crackdown on online poker sites in the United States. Later in a hearing on July 26 Alderney decided that Full Tilt would be given a chance to sell to new investors and that the decision should be made no later than September 15. Fortunately enough, the Mohawk Territory of Kahnwake in Canada has granted an application to renew the Secondary Client Provider Authorization held by Full Tilt Poker for a period of two years. This will be effective from August 1, 2011.

The license was granted to Full Tilt Poker’s operating company in Kolympa. The decision by Kahnawake to renew the license truly comes as a surprise to everyone. However, Full Tilt will not be able to resume operations just yet. They must be granted their primary license first as Kahnawake’s Secondary license requires one. Full Tilt is not offering any poker games to its players at present.
